Thanksgiving 2009

I took these pictures since Crystal wasn't with us this year at Thanksgiving!



I started out by cooking the traditional pumpkin pie!

I found this pan at the store to cook the turkey in that has a rack that holds the turkey above the bottom of the pan


Turkeys were pretty inexpensive this year. I got a small turkey this year.

After I unwrapped it, I thoroughly cleaned the turkey inside and out.

I took a break and went and got Nevaehso she could learn how to cook Thanksgiving dinner.

She is getting pretty long as you can see from the pictures.

Here is the turkey all seasoned, in the new pan and ready to go into the oven.

Nevaeh wanted a closer look, so I put her in her chair on the counter.

Besides homemade mashed potatoes, we also had stove top stuffing!

I boiled the neck and giblets so the dogs could have Thanksgiving too.

Here is our dinner, turkey in the oven, stove top stuffing, turkey gray, peas, mashed potatoes, and homemade macaroni and cheese....ummmm!

I gave Nevaeh one of the duckies to play with...quack quack!

I decided to use Dream Whip for the pumpkin pie instead of cool whip.

We got hungry so we decided to have a sandwich while the turkey cooked.

Mom all decked out in her Cowboys atire.....GO COWBOYS!

Lindsey joined us for Thanksgiving dinner.

This was all that was left after I carved the turkey...

And that was our Thanksgiving!
