Nevaeh is home!!!!
Nevaeh was finally released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. She looks like a new born baby now. She already has her first doctors appointment this morning. Home health services will be coming to our house 3 times a week to check on her and do blood tests. She is so sweet. Attached is my son Dallas' girl friend Lindsey holding Nevaeh. Will take more pictures this evening and post them.

Nevaeh stays in the hospital
There was a strong chance Nevaeh was going to come home today, however the doctors decided to keep her for another 48 hours. She is having problems with her gall bladder and was required to take a compound medication. Last week they checked her "levels" and they looked good, so they decided to take her off this medication in preparation to come home. Today they did a final check of these levels and found that the levels were off again, so they have to put her back on the medication. Praise God they found this today as if she did come home she would have eventually gotten sick and would have had to return to the hospital.

Nevaeh comes home!
Well it has been quit awhile since the blog has been updated. Nevaeh is 8+ lbs now. She is bottle feeding now and doing better everyday. Serena is spending the days with her at the hospital this week and this weekend she will be spending 2 nights with her. If all goes well, she will be coming home on Monday. She has all of her tubes removed, she is tube free!!

Nevaeh is now 6 pounds 9 ounces. She is feeding from a bottle 3 times a day and is getting 2 ounces ( 60 grams) a feeding period. When i go up there to feed her she normal takes the whole 2 ounces outt he bottle but she still has her days where she will only take 20 - 30 grams and the rest has to go through the feeding tube. She had a problem with her eyes where the retna was starting to detach from the back of her eye and said she could be blind but they checked it 2 weeks later and it was all better. Her oxygen is on the lowest it can go at and they are going to start taking her fully off it soon. All she has to do is get the bottle feeding down and not need the tube anymore and she will be home. I would say give her another 2 weeks at the most.

Nevaeh is now 4 pounds 10 ounces. She is 16 1/2 inches long. They have fully taken her off the heated bed and now she is in a regular crib. They have fully takin her off the sipap machine and now she has regular breathing tubes as seen in the pics. They are trying to bottle feed her again and it is doing alot better this time. She is taking it but she will only take 5 grams at a time. It will take her time to fully get use to being bottle feeding but she should be home within like 3 weeks.

Ok so Nevaeh is doing great. She weights 3 pound 15 1/2 ounces, so she only has 1/2 ounce to gain to be 4 pounds. The sipap (breathing tube in her nose) has been down to 21% oxygen, which is what we breath, so today they are taking her off it for an hour and putting her on for three hours and doing that over and over again till Sunday and if she handles it, then she will be off it longer than an hour. They are starting to try to bottle feed her and it isn't working too well right now but they are gonna keep trying. She will be out of her heated bed in about a week and into a regular crip. She is doing amazing and it won't be too much longer till she comes home.
